The updated Blueprint brings more support to your practice

An AI Support System for the work that fills your day

Finishing your notes doesn’t mean the work is finished. There’s still the case you want to think through, the client message that needs care, and the paperwork waiting between sessions. The updated Blueprint gives you more support with that work, in the same place you already document care.

A major expansion beyond note-taking

Blueprint already helps take documentation off your plate. The updated experience extends that support to clinical questions, client communication, and the business side of your practice, through built-in, HIPAA-compliant chat.

Instead of starting over in a separate tool, you can ask for help where your documented work already lives. Blueprint can draw on the context in your available notes, help you find clinical resources and relevant research, and turn that work into a draft you can review or a client email you can send. You can also start with a question or provide context yourself, even if you don’t have notes in Blueprint.

Your expertise guides the work. You decide what to use, refine, and send.

Make the work you have already done go further

Your notes hold a client’s story across sessions. When you need a treatment summary, Blueprint can turn that existing context into a draft, rather than leaving you to create it from scratch. You can focus on reviewing the details and shaping the summary for its intended purpose. If you don’t have notes in Blueprint yet, you can provide the relevant context to generate an initial draft.

More support for your clinical thinking

A difficult case can stay with you long after the session ends. Blueprint helps you organize what you know and explore possible next steps without starting your search from scratch. You can draw on a clinical library of 600+ assessments, worksheets, and intervention activities, or look up relevant research from resources like PubMed, with source links. Bringing those resources together with the context in your available notes gives you more to work with as you consider what might help a client. Your clinical judgment guides what comes next.

Keep your voice in the conversations that matter

Finding the right words for sensitive client messages takes thought, even when you know what you need to say. Blueprint can help you get past the blank page with a draft that reflects your goal and tone. A message about repeated late cancellations, for example, can be warm and direct while reflecting your existing policy. You review and refine it so your voice and boundaries stay intact, then ask Blueprint to send the email directly to your client, with you copied.

Make complex practice tasks easier to approach

An insurance denial can leave you with a document to decipher before you can decide what to do next. Blueprint can help clarify the denial language and identify where your documentation may need more support. If an appeal is appropriate, it can draft one in seconds, giving you a starting point to compare against the claim, supporting documentation, and payer requirements.

Help your practice sound like you

The way you describe your work helps prospective clients find you and understand your approach. Blueprint can help turn what you know about your practice into a therapist bio, website copy, or referral outreach that you can refine in your own voice.

These are a few ways to get started. You can ask follow-up questions, add context, or explore another direction. The support can follow the questions you actually have, across more of your clinical and business work.

What to know before updating

You can continue using Blueprint alongside your current EHR—nothing about your process or workflow needs to change.

When the update is available for your account, you can switch to the updated Blueprint while keeping your existing account and clinical data.

How to get started

If you have an eligible paid self-serve account

Sign in to your existing Blueprint account and look for the option to update. An administrator can choose the update for your practice. If you’re not an administrator, ask your administrator about updating.

If you have an eligible free account

There’s no opt-in step for eligible free accounts. Your account stays free, and you don’t need to create a new account. Once your upgrade is complete, sign in to get started.

For a walkthrough of the updated layout, how to switch, and what to know before updating, see our Help Center guide.

Start with something already on your plate: a case you want to think through, a client message you need to send, or a summary you need to finish.

How Blueprint can streamline your practice

The result: hours of work taken off your plate each week, so you can focus more fully on your clients.

‍The EHR is 100% free, forever. You only pay when the AI Assistant actually takes work off your plate.
